Meet My Assistants
(My Teachers)

For those of you who have been around horses for any length of time, you probably already know what I mean when I say that my horses are my teacher. I learn information and techniques from school, books, seminars, etc. But, it is when I go out to the barn that I really start learning.

Horses are so willing to communicate with us, provided they think we are listening. If we aren't, look out, all kinds of bad things can happen. I will talk more about that in the lesson on Equine Behavior and the Mind / Body Connection.

For now, I would like to introduce you to my boys. They are going to be my trusty assistants to help you learn all about equine massage and other alternative equine therapies.

My Faithful Companion
"Que"

pretty white horseIf you have been looking around this site very much, you may have already met Que (pronounced Q - like the letter in the alphabet). Why not just call him Q? Because he is a big, beautiful Thoroughbred trained in dressage - and he just seemed to need a fancier name.

I know this story is a little long, but I hope you find it a useful addition to this web site. It is the story of how my horse taught me so much about how horses teach us - if we are willing to listen.

My Newest Assistant
"Traveller"

Since I haven't had him very long, he has all kinds of wonderful problems and issues that I can use to show you how to apply equine massage and alternative equine therapies. He will show you how a horse may behave and react when therapy is applied.

I hope you will take some time to find out more about Traveller and to see the picture of how he looked when I first bought him. He has come a long way since I have owned him and is getting better every day. You can also see a picture of my rescue doggies on this page. (they are very cute)

I hope you enjoyed getting to meet my assistants. All of them have taught me so much. I hope that they can teach you also. Every animal has it's own story and it's own issues. Your own horses will teach you even more than I will be able to teach you. I am just going to give you the information and instruction you need. They will be your real teachers.

I hope you enjoy your horses as much as I enjoy mine.
